Forschungsinteressen

Die Forschungsarbeiten der Information Engineering Gruppe am LS1 beschäftigen sich mit allen Aspekten des Bereichs Wissensrepräsentation und Informationsverarbeitung, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf logikbasierten Ansätzen liegt.

Insbesondere bearbeiten wir folgende Forschungsthemen:

  • Symbolische/qualitative und numerische/quantitative Methoden der Wissensrepräsentation (mit einem Fokus auf Default-Logiken und probabilistischer Logik)
  • nichtklassiche Logiken und Commonsense Reasoning
  • Wissensdynamik und Wissensrevision
  • Wissensmodellierung komplexer Problembereiche
  • Wissensbasierte und entscheidungsunterstützende Systeme
  • Argumentation
  • Agenten und Multiagentensysteme
